"I thought it’d be cool to help them promote the release of their album 'Dualism'." To provide extra promotion for the sneaker, Textures played an explosive showcase at the Floris van Bommel shop on 23 August 2011.

Daniel Brühl

A 'Floris van Bommel für Daniel Brühl' shoe is to be launched in Germany, where Daniel is a megastar. The proceeds of the sale of this shoe are destined for the German AIDS foundation. Among film buffs, Daniel Brühl is known for his roles in, among others, 'Goodbye Lenin', 'The Bourne Ultimatum', 'Inglorious Bastards' and 'Intruders' which also featured Clive Owen and Dutch actress Carice van Houten.

A Radio 1 variety of people from Dutch celebrity lawyer, Gerard Sprong, to actor/dancer, Jan Kooiman, record messages every week. Every Wednesday it is Floris’s turn to let it all out.

Geert Hoste

For a few years now, Floris van Bommel has had the honour to supply the feet of Geert Hoste with fitting patent leather shoes. In February 2008 Geert Hoste opened the Van Bommel flagship store in Antwerp.

The footwear club consists of a select group of prominent Van Bommel dealers. The most frequently asked question put to Floris in interviews is “Where do you get your inspiration from?”. Usually he mutters something inarticulately and incomprehensibly, the more so because he does not want to reveal his sources. The real answer to this question is of course: 'From Esquire magazine!'

The leather and shoe museum

Recently Van Bommel sponsored the 'Beth Levine, first lady of shoes' exhibition – an exhibition on the most discussed shoe designer of the previous century. Schoenfabriek van Bommel is a regular sponsor of the Dutch leather and shoe museum.

Philipp Lahm
http://www.philipplahm.deOn 1 December 2010, World AIDS Day, the Floris van Bommel dealers in Germany launched the 'Floris van Bommel für Philipp Lahm' shoe. It is a black patent leather shoe of which all profits went to the German AIDS Foundation. In everyday life Philipp Lahm is the captain of Bayern Munich and a player of the German National Squad. Through his own ‘Phillip Lahm Stiftung’ Philipp devotes himself to vulnerable children in both Germany and developing countries. --Press release Download--
